About the BellaOnline Child Loss Editor
Christine Phillips
My name is Christine Phillips. I am the mother of two beautiful daughters, Bella who is 6 and Aine who was 8.
Unfortunately, I am qualified to write on the subject of child loss based solely on my own personal experience of losing my oldest daughter. I wish I did not know anything about this subject.
For the last 9 years I’ve been fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home mom . My ”job” is my family. Prior to that I had several years experience in the IT world. I have never been published as a writer.
I’ve taken on the challenge of writing for this site because I need a place to put all my thoughts, to somehow piece them together and grieve. It made sense to me to do this in a public forum so that others like me don’t have to feel alone in their pain, that they can have a place they can go and identify with others in the same situations. To identify, not compare, and find some compassion from others who get it. Ultimately, I don’t want to let go of my daughter. Let this be her voice and the voices of other children who have left too soon.
